Placed Horses

These horses have been purchased by people who love them very much, or in some cases have gone to another horse rescue.

<h2></h2><p>NUGGET is a 2010 registered quarter horse filly. We outbid the meat buyer at an auction to save her. Her new owner will be boarding her here for the winter to get to know her and learn how to train her. Feb. 28/11 - Nugget is now in her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CHERRY is a 2005 Fjord cross mare. She is broke and good with kids. Her new home is with a family near Red Deer who have three young boys. She's going to be their trail riding horse.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>EBONY is a 10 year old purebred Tennessee Walker, she came from the same place as Disco. She is broke and is quiet to work with, just has a couple of fear issues. She has been purchased by one of our volunteers who fell in love with her at first sight. She is being boarded at a private farm just minutes from where her owner lives.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CASH is a 2008 quarter horse/paint cross filly. Her previous owners had to downsize, so she was brought here. She's Tango's daughter. Her owner is the husband of the lady who bought Disco. She also will board here until spring 2012 so her training can continue.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JOSIE is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly who is very quiet and loving. She was bought right out of the meat pen at an auction. Her new owner is the husband of the lady who owns Selene, so she will be staying here to continue her training.Oct/09 - Josie has moved to a private acreage that is closer for her owner.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DYNASTY is a 2002 registered warmblood mare. She is now in northern Alberta, and is with a family that will use her for pleasure riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FOXY LADY and her foal MELINA. They have both been placed with a family who has experience with mares and foals, and will give them a good and loving home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>RAIN is a 2010 purebred warmblood mare (black & white paint) who has a crooked front leg. She's now gone to a home to be a companion for another mare who has a permanently injured hock, and they will spend their lives together.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FIESTA is a June 2013 grade QH filly that we got from the meat buyer. She is owned by a young lady and this is her first horse. They bonded the first time they met. She will be boarding at a stable near Calgary.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>BILLY THE KID is a June 2014 stud colt, he was born here. His mother was Candy. His mom died when he was 12 days old, and the person who hand raised him now owns him.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>BEAUTY is a 2000 registered QH mare. She had an injury to the top of her back, so can't be ridden. She has been placed with a good friend and will have a long and happy life.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SHAYLA is a July 2011 QH filly who we outbid the meat buyer at an auction for. Her owner is a first time horse owner, but is boarding where she can take lessons and learn more about training a horse.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>RAVEN is a 2010 QH mare. A shelter collapsed on her during a storm when she was a yearling, and damaged her back end and spine. She can walk, trot and canter fine, and is in no pain. She's with a wonderful couple who just wanted to give her a good home for the rest of her life. She has other companion horses with her and has totally bonded with one of them.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TALENT is a 2006 standardbred mare. We had her placed, but her owner had to move out of province, so she came back to us. She's now with an amazing young lady who described her as "an incredible mare".<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CHINOOK is a March 2014 QH filly who was a surrender. She got a wonderful home in BC and will be at the same stable as Stormie.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FRECKLES and FIREFLY came to us from The Mitchell Centre. They were there because of a divorce situation. Freckles (the mom) has gone back to that same rescue as she is not suitable for youth. She will have her training finished there and will be matched with a rider that suits her. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>Vega is a 2012 reg. Appaloosa filly. We outbid the meat buyer at an auction for her. She's very quiet and well mannered, and someone's done a lot of work with her. She's going to a lady who already has a couple of rescue horses.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>RUSTY is a 2009 registered QH gelding who was only here overnight. He was from another small rescue who had to downsize and called and asked if we could take him or find him a home. I had a home pre-arranged for him, so he went there the next morning.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TOSCA is a 2008 thoroughbred mare (Tika is her daughter). She's owned by the same lady who owns Dinah, and with hard work and time, has turned into a well mannered horse. She'll be leaving for her new home in June of 2013.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>BO is a 2012 grade QH stud colt, who ended up here because of a mistake the auction made. He's now at another small rescue, where he's safe and will get the training he needs.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JASMINE is a 2010 QH cross mare. She's now owned by the husband of the lady who owns Sinola. </p>

<h2></h2><p>LEVI (now called Bullwinkle) is a May 2013 purebred QH stud colt. He came with his mother Lily. He's now at a good friends ranch, where he'll be well taken care of.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JEWEL is a 2012 registered QH filly. She is owned by the husband of the lady who purchased Spice, and will start some light training in 2014.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SPICE is a May 2011 grade QH cross filly who was surrendered to us due to the owners health. She is now owned by a lady who lives close to us. She will be starting her training in 2014.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SUSIE Q is a June 2013 grade QH that we got from a meat buyer. She's now owned by a young lady who absolutely adores her, and she'll go to her new home in June 2014.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DESTINY is a 2006 purebred quarter horse mare. She is greenbroke and very well mannered. Her training is being finished by one of our volunteers who has fallen in love with her and has purchased her. MAY 2010 - She has now gone to a boarding stable and her owner hopes to train her for cattle penning.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>BOOMER is a 2011 registered QH filly. She was rescued from a neglectful home and we got her from the person who saved her. She's owned by a lady who fell in love with her the first time she saw her. She'll board with us for a while, and then will move her to an acreage in the spring.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CARLY (now called Laila) is a May 2013 grade QH filly we got from the meat buyer. She has gone to BC with Sophie.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CELESTE (now called Sierra) is a May 2014 QH filly, her mother is Savanna. She's now with a young lady who has already re-trained a horse she rescued, and she will be doing all the training for Celeste.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JESSE JAMES is a June 2014 stud colt, he was born here. His mother is Mira. He has now gone to his new home where he rejoined Billy The Kid.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TWILIGHT is a May 2014 filly we got from a meat buyer. She's now at the same place that Foxy and Zee are at, and will be a companion for Zee.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>OLIVER is a 2004 thoroughbred gelding. He originally came from southern California. He loves people and attention. His new home is close to Edmonton, where his training will be completed.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>This little arabian colt came from the same auction as Tara. He is severely underweight, basically just bones with skin and hair. He is under vet care and will need a few months to regain his health. He is now owned by a lady from Calgary, but will stay here until he regains his health. He did have a half sister that came here at the same time, but because she was so thin and weak, she lost her life despite all our efforts to save her. UPDATE: May 2009 This little guy has now gone to his new home. He has put on a lot of weight, and has energy to burn. Once he sheds out his winter coat, he'll be beautiful.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TRIO is a May 2014 purebred QH that we got from a meat buyer. She's now owned by one of our volunteers, and will be boarded here for her owner to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SPIRIT is a 2004 registered paint mare. She has also gone to The Mitchell Centre, as she is very afraid of the saddle because of an abusive trainer. She will be retrained there in a positive and loving manner.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JACOB is a 2005 registered paint gelding. He is a bit unruly as we have all mares here, so he has gone to the Mitchell Centre to be trained and re-homed.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TAFFY is a 2007 registered quarter horse filly who has a very calm and loving personality. Her new owner is a 7 year old girl who Taffy absolutely adores. She will stay here for a few months to have her training finished, and also to teach the little girl all about riding and caring for her horse.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SPLASH (now named ROSIE) is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly we purchased at an auction. She was totally wild when she arrived, but it didn't take long for her to realize we wouldn't hurt her. She has been worked with by many volunteers and has great ground manners. Her new owner is a 12 year old girl, it's her first horse. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>PATCHES is a 2008 grade filly that we rescued out of the meat pen. She was totally wild, but is now calm and fearless. Her new owner will board her here until the end of Feb. 2010 to be able to get to know her, and then she will go to her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>BELLA is a 2004 registered paint horse mare. She has been ridden very lightly, and is very responsive to her lessons. Her owner is a special lady who fell in love with Bella right away. She will continue with her training and will be trail riding with her once she's ready.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>COCO (now called Breeze) is a 2011 purebred QH filly. Her new owner is a lady who's been volunteering here, and was at the auction with us the day we outbid the meat buyer for Coco. They're a great match and are learning to work together. She'll be boarding here for her owner to learn about training her. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CHLOE is a 2009 registered quarter horse filly who came from the Mitchell Centre. Her new owner will be boarding her here, so she can learn how to train and care for her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>LONDON'S LADY is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly who came from the same auction as Sugar. We outbid the meat buyer to save her. She is friendly, quiet and easy to work with. One of our volunteers has purchased her. She's being boarded at a private acreage close to where her owner lives.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MARA is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly. She came from an auction in Sept 09. She's very quiet and loving and follows us everywhere. Her owner is a young girl who will board her here to learn how to train her, and then she'll move her to a boarding stable closer to her home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SASSY is a 2007 grade paint filly. She was rescued as a yearling from an auction, but that lady had to move to Ontario, so she came here. Her new owners have two children, and Sassy did well with them. They will continue with her training and in the future the kids will also ride her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DARLIN (now called KAIYA) is a 2007 appaloosa/paint cross filly. She is fearless, and absolutely nothing scares her. She loves her new owner, who is one of our volunteers, and works well for her. She's going great under saddle and learns quickly. MAY 2010 - She is now in her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>PETIE is a 2002 QH cross mare. She's well broke, and is a sweetheart to work with. Her owner is out of the country a lot, so asked if we'd take her here to find her a good home. She's now owned by the same people who have Calista.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>STUBBY (now named TEDDY BEAR) is a 2010 purebred QH, but as of yet has no papers. The tips of her ears were frozen when she was born, and so reminds her owner of a teddy bear. She fell in love with Teddy the first time she saw her. She will be boarded here for her owner to learn how to train and care for her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CAYENNE (now called Marley) is a 2011 QH filly. We outbid the meat buyer at an auction to save her. She's quiet and well mannered and is now owned by a young lady with 15 years experience who wanted a young horse to train herself. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DOLLY is a 12 year old pony who lost an eye because of a tree branch. Her owner had to move, and didn't want to take the chance a meat buyer would get her, so she came here. She is well broke, and a sweetheart to work with. She's got a home with an 8 year old girl who absolutely loves her. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MYSTIC is a 2007 grade quarter horse mare who came from the same auction as Bailey. We outbid the meat buyers to save her. She's been saddled & bridled, just not ridden. Her new owner is the same lady who owns Dancer, so we know she's got a great home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TANGO is a 1998 registered paint mare. She is well broke and friendly. One of our volunteers fell in love with her, and has purchased her. She has been riding her, and they are a great team. She will stay here until Sept 2010, and then will go to her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MOON is a 2009 paint/mustang cross filly who is also Tango's daughter. She is now owned by the lady who owned Chloe. She is a very loving filly and just fills her new owners life with happiness. Her new name will be Bella Moon.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>KITTY & DUKEKitty is a 2007 registered QH mare, Duke was born May 1/14. He's a purebred QH but can't be registered as there's no paperwork on the stallion. They have gone to a family who has experience with mares and foals, and are located fairly close to our rescue.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ALLIE is a 2014 QH filly who we got from a meat buyer. She's now got an owner and will be staying here at the rescue.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SOPHIE is a June 2013 grade QH filly who came from a meat buyer. She's now in a home in BC with a young couple who fell in love with her. They drove here to meet us and her, and then made arrangements to get her home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>OAKLEY is a 10 yr old registered quarter horse gelding. He's very well broke and a perfect gentleman. His owner couldn't ride anymore and so he came here. He's now been placed with a young lady from Cranbrook BC who absolutely adores him. She plans on the two of them going for many trail rides together. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MISTY is a 1996 grade quarter horse mare. Her owner couldn't keep her anymore and didn't want to take a chance she would be bought for meat at an auction so she came here. She's well broke but is a very high energy horse. She has been purchased by one of our volunteers who has been riding her and they get along great. This volunteer also owns London's Lady. Misty is being boarded at a private acreage close to where her owner lives.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ROXY is a May 2010 grade paint filly who we rescued from the auction. Her mother went to slaughter. She is also now owned by the couple who purchased Terra and Patches.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ASPEN (now named MAISIE) is a June 2010 grade paint filly. She was rescued at the auction and her mother went to slaughter. She is now owned by the couple who purchased Terra and Patches.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ROSE is a 2010 purebred quarter horse filly who we rescued from the same auction as Diamond. She's going to the same home as Diamond in Williams Lake, BC. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>KODAK is a 2011 reg. QH filly. She's now been placed with one of our volunteers who's been working hard with her for the last year, and will go to her new home soon.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>PENNY is a 2013 QH filly who we saved from the meat buyer. She is owned by a young lady who fell in love with her from her picture, and once she met her, knew this was the horse for her. She will be boarded at a stable with the lady's gelding, who looks almost exactly like Penny.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DIAMOND is a 2010 purebred quarter horse filly who we rescued from the auction. She is a grand-daughter of Smart Little Lena. Her new home is in Williams Lake, BC with a wonderful lady who will be training her for future showing. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SUNDANCE is a 2009 registered paint filly. We outbid the meat buyer to save her. She's quiet and well halter broke. Her new owner is a 12 year old girl who absolutely adores her. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TALENT is a 2006 reg. Standardbred mare who we were able to rescue 2 days before she was to go on the meat truck. She's a very quiet, loving horse, and was very easy to train. She's now greenbroke, and will be going to her new home with a wonderful lady the end of July 2012. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>POPPY is a June 2013 grade QH filly who we got from the meat buyer. She's owned by a mother and her young son, and will be pastured with her older mare at a acreage near Calgary.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ABBEY is a 2011 QH filly, purebred but no papers. We outbid the meat buyer at an auction to save her. She's extremely smart and hard to work with, and needed someone with lots of experience to help her become all she can be. Her owner is a couple who have trained many hard to handle horses, all with gentleness and compassion. Abbey loved them the first time they came to see her. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DINAH is a 2010 registered QH filly that we rescued from the auction. The meat buyer had her, and he was nice enough to let us buy her back from him. Her new owner is a wonderful lady who is very patient and understanding. Dinah has bonded to her completely. She will be going to her new home in June 2013.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>GINGER is a 2009 paint/QH cross filly whose owners had to let her go due to financial problems. Her new owner is a young lady who has been working with Ginger for a few months. She will be staying here for a while for her owner to learn about training her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>LILY is a 2000 purebred QH mare, but no papers came with her. She was on her way to the slaugherhouse with a foal at side and bred back for a 2014 foal. Unfortunately she lost her 2014 foal so she was now ready for a home. She is going to the same couple as Katie.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SHILOH is a 19 year old registered Arabian gelding. He's a full brother to Tiara. He's also gone to the same home as Tiara, and will be used for pleasure riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TIARA is an 18 year old purebred Arabian gelding, but has no papers. His owners retired, and wanted him safe, so he came here. He's now gone to an owner who will refresh his training and use him for pleasure riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JUBILEE is a 2005 registered QH mare. She's gone to a young couple who want her for pleasure and trail riding. She liked them right away. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>KATIE is a 2010 Fjord/Tennessee Walker cross mare. She is greenbroke, but hasn't been ridden in quite a while. She is going with a wonderful young couple, who have also purchased Lily. They will go to their new home in Edmonton the end of June 2014.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>NOEL is a 2012 grade QH filly, we outbid the meat buyer at an auction. She was one of the horses at the Rescue Horse Makeover at the Jonathan Field & Friends event in Sept/14. She has been purchased by an amazing lady who is being mentored by Jonathan Field, and will be traveling all over North America and will have the best of everything.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DISCO is a 2004 registered paint mare. Her previous owner just couldn't spend time with her, so she came to the rescue. Her new owner is a lovely lady who absolutely loves her. She will be boarded here until at least spring 2012 for her owner to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ZAHARA is a July 2011 purebred QH filly, but has no papers. She came from a meat buyer, and is a half sister to Calista and Sapphire. She is now owned by a wonderful young girl and they have bonded well together. She will be boarding here for her owner to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ANNIE is a 1997 Standardbred mare. She was raced in her younger days and then used as a broodmare. She was to be shipped to the slaughterhouse as they didn't want her for breeding anymore. She was here only a couple of days when one of our volunteers fell in love with her and bought her. She's had some chiropractor work already, and is still getting some other re-hab treatments. She will be staying here at the rescue.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MADISON is a May 2013 purebred QH filly (no papers) that we got from a meat buyer. She's now owned by a young teenager, and this is her first horse. She will be boarding here to learn how to train her horse properly.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>POCO is a 2009 registered QH gelding. He was to be shipped to the auction as he panicked and bucked off his owner. But a friend of the owner contacted us and asked if we could take him here instead. He is now owned by a lady who is taking the time to work on all his ground manners and de-spooking, and is in no hurry to just ride him. She wants him to be the best he can be.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JOLENE is a 2008 reg. QH mare who we bought out of the meat pen at an auction. She was very pregnant at the time (Jackson is her foal). She's now broke to ride and is owned by a young lady who has done most of her training. She'll be boarded here until her training is finished.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>KIERA is a 1999 registered Arabian mare. Her owner was moving out of the country, and asked us to take her here so she would be safe. She has gone to her new owner, an 8 yr old girl who Kiera loved and did anything she asked of her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>GYPSY is a 2011 grade QH filly that we outbid the meat buyer at an auction for. She's been handled by many people, but never connected with anyone. Her owner is a 13 yr old girl who adores her, and Gypsy absolutely loves her and will do anything for her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SIENNA is a 2008 reg. Standardbred filly who was going to be shipped for meat. A lady who knew the owner made arrangements with him to try and place her, and that's how she came here. She is now owned by a special mother and daughter, who absolutely adore her. Sienna will be boarded here long term for her owners to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FOXY (now named Ruby) is a 2011 reg. QH filly who we rescued from the auction. The lady who now owns her is a first time horse owner, so Ruby will be boarded here for her owner to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DOT is a 2008 reg. QH filly who has Smart Little Lena on her papers. She was rescued out of the meat pen as a weanling. Her owner will be finishing her training, and then she will be given to her 12 year old daughter for 4-H. Dot loves kids, so this is an ideal home for her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>PHOENIX is a 2009 paint filly, she's purebred but has no papers. She came from the same place as Ginger. She's quiet and loves to be with people. Her owner will board her here until the end of July/11, to give her time to get her new home ready.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>PATCHES is a 2000 grade paint mare. She was originally rescued as a 2 yr old from the meat pen at an auction. She's had 2 training accidents and so is terrified of the saddle. We have placed her in a home with Misty, where she'll never be ridden, she'll just be loved and well cared for.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>BAILEY is a 2009 registered Paint filly. We outbid the meat buyer at an auction to save her. Her new owner is an experienced trainer, he's gentle and patient, which is what Bailey needs as she's a more nervous type horse. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SINOLA is a 2010 registered QH filly that we rescued from an auction. She is her new owner's first horse and they are doing well working together. She will be boarded here for a few months for her owner to learn more about how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CARA is a 2001 registered QH mare, she's Dori's mother. She's greenbroke and quiet. She's now with a young lady who is soft and quiet, and she'll continue to finish Cara's training.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>HONEY is a 2010 reg. QH filly who we rescued at an auction, she was only 4 months old and very wild. She fell in love with a little girl who came to volunteer just after we got her, and this October, that little girl got Honey for her birthday. It was a match from the first time they met. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TIKA is a 2011 Thoroughbred/QH cross filly who was born here (Tosca is her mother) Her new owners fell in love with her the first time they met her, and Tika connected to them right away. She's boarded at a stable quite close to us. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MAGGIE is a 2006 Percheron/Paint cross mare. Her owner brought her to us, as she didn't know how to train her any further, and wanted her to be trained and in a good home. She now has a home with a great family who will finish her training and use her for pleasure riding. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>GEORGIA is an April 2013 paint/QH cross filly. She was here because a friend asked us to take her and her mother (Patches). She's been purchased by one of our volunteers, and will be boarded here.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SAPPHIRE is a 2011 purebred QH filly but has no papers. We purchased her 2 days before she was to be shipped to the slaughterhouse from a kind hearted meat buyer. Her owner will be boarding her here for a while to learn how to work with her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>STARDUST (now called CALISTA) is a 2011 purebred QH filly, but has no papers. She was to be shipped for meat, but a kind hearted meat buyer contacted one of our friends and asked if he knew of anyone who could take her. When he asked us, of course we said yes. Her new owner will be boarding her here to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>ROCKY is a May 2013 purebred QH stud colt. He came with his mother Mira. He's at the same place as Levi.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FANTASIA is a May 2014 QH filly. She's also gone to the same couple who have Lily and Katie.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DALLAS is a June 2014 QH filly. She's gone to the same couple who adopted Lily and Katie.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CHRISTIE is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly who was rescued out of the same meat pen at an auction as Lucky. Her new owner will be continuing her training, with hopes of her being a jumper when she's old enough.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>APOLLO is a 2011 QH/Arab gelding we purchased from an owner whose life circumstances changed. He's halterbroke and quiet. He's now with a lovely couple who will train him to be ridden and he'll have a good life.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SOLARIS is a May 2015 QH filly who we got from the meat buyer. She's a companion to a warmblood filly that's the same age, and will be trained for riding together with her buddy.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>HOPE is a 2010 filly, looks to be a QH. She was abandoned at the boarding stable, and the stable owners had no choice but to call in the authorities. She had to go to auction, as it's the law. We were able to outbid the meat buyer. She's now in a home with a great family who love her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JAZZ is a 2008 grade quarter horse filly that came out of the meat pen at an auction. Her new owner is a young girl who has been volunteering here for a couple of months. She bonded with Jazz immediately. Christmas morning 2011, Jazz became her horse.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DAISY is a 2005 QH mare who was surrendered to us. We gave her a chiro treatment, trimmed her feet, and she had a refresher on manners and riding. She's now with a family who immediately loved her, and she did everything they asked of her. Daisy was picky about who worked with her, but this family she liked.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SUMMER is a 2003 registered paint mare. Her new owner absolutely adores her, and will be finishing her saddle training. She was a favorite here and sure will be missed.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SAPPHIRE (now called Skye) is a May 2011 blue roan QH filly. We did place her, but life circumstances forced her owner to have to give her up, and she asked if we would take her back here. She stayed here a few months and we've now found her a home with a wonderful young lady who will be training her for cowboy challenges and trail riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>INDIGO is a 2011 Welsh pony who was afraid of everything. She's been placed with the same lady who has Tammy, and is now much quieter and learning to trust people.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DYNAMITE is a 2006 thoroughbred mare. We traced her tattoo, and she's a grand daughter of Seattle Slew. She is now owned by the mother of the girl who owns Mindy. She'll be boarded here until their new acreage is fenced and the barn is up.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>NEEKA is a 2012 Quarter Horse filly. She's a half sister to Noel. She was one of the horses in the Rescue Horse Makeover at the 2014 Jonathan Field & Friends Event, and she was the horse Jonathan worked with. She's now owned by a lovely lady who will board her here for a while to learn more about her horse.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DORI (now called Amber) is a 2010 Qh filly. She's with a wonderful lady who will be doing all her riding training herself.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CINNAMON is a May 2015 QH filly we got from the meat buyer. She's now with a very nice man who has the experience to train a young horse from scratch. </p>

<h2></h2><p>MELODY (now called Zena) is a 2013 QH filly we got from a meat buyer. She's now owned by the husband of the lady who bought Neeka. It's his first horse. She will also be boarded here for a while for her owner to learn more about her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DANI is a 2011 QH filly who was an owner surrender. Her new owner has already taken some groundwork lessons with her, and will be continuing with lessons once she's at the boarding stable.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MINDY is a 2004 reg. Thoroughbred mare. She's 16.1HH. Her new owner is a 10 year old girl who Mindy loves. They'll be boarding her for quite some time so her owner can learn how to properly care for her, handle her and ride her better.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>JACKSON is a 2012 gelding who was born here, his mother is Jolene. He's now with a lady who is training him for pleasure and maybe some cowboy challenges.</p>

<h2></h2><p>SADIE is a 2014 QH filly we got from a meat buyer. She's now owned by a young girl, and Sadie is her first very own horse. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CHANELLE is a June 2014 QH filly we got from a meat buyer. Her owner is a volunteer here and has been spending time with her to really get to know her. She'll be boarding here to learn how to train this little one.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>STORMY (now called Foxy) is a 2014 QH filly we got from the meat buyer. Her owner is a lady who wants to train her own horse and wanted a young one so they could learn together.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>STORMIE (now called Josie) is a 2014 QH filly we got from a meat buyer. She's now in BC with a young lady who is doing amazing with her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FROSTY is a 2014 QH filly we got from a meat buyer. She's now owned by a young girl who already has broke horses, but wants to train her own and have that special bond.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>RUBY is a 2011 registered QH mare. She's owned by a lady who will continue her training as a pleasure horse. This lady's daughter owns Sadie, so they will be at their new home together.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>LONDON is a 2008 registered QH mare. Her new owner is not too far away from us and she'll be using her for pleasure riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MIRA is a 2005 QH we got from the meat buyer. She came in with a foal on her side and was already bred back, she's the mother of both Rocky and Jesse James. She's been placed wtih the son of a very good friend and has started her saddle training.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>PEPSI is a 1999 reg Arabian mare who was an owner surrender. She's got an amazing home with a lady who she bonded with the first time they met.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SHILOH is a 2001 paint gelding. He's well broke and very quiet. His new owner plans to do trail riding with him.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TAMMY is a 2001 mini mare. She was found running loose, and no one came forward to claim her, so she was sent to auction. I brought her home, and placed her with a lady who specializes in rehabbing ponies. Tammy is doing fantastic.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TARA is a 2008 grade arabian filly who was rescued from going to the slaughterhouse. She was very wild, but is now just a little sweetheart who loves attention. Her new owner is the husband of the lady who owns Patches, so she will also be here until the end of Feb. 2010, and then will go to her new home. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>LUCKY is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly who came out of the meat pen at an auction. She is quiet and well mannered. Her new owner is a wonderful lady who will board her here to learn how to train her. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TROUBLE is a 2010 registered QH filly from the auction. She was weaned at the auction and her mother went for slaughter. She's very friendly and loves people. Her new owner is the mother of the girl who owns Sundance. It's so nice the two horses will still be together. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>GEM is a 2008 grade quarter horse filly who is a half sister to Taffy and Boo. She is now owned by a young girl, who has been working with her for a year. She will be staying here so her new owner can continue to learn how to train her.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>DANCER is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly. She is halterbroke and very quiet. She is now in her new home with her owner, a 13 year old girl. They are best friends and trust each other completely.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>FIREFLY is a 2007 Appaloosa filly. She was only 6 weeks old when we brought her home. She is very tall for her age and will probably be 16HH when fully grown. She is super friendly and has had a lot of groundwork training. Her new owners are a nice couple who love Appaloosas and will finish her training.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CARLYN is a 2008 quarter horse filly. She has the bloodlines of Skipper W, but has no papers. She came from the same place as Selene. Her new owner is a young girl who will board her here for a while to get to know her and learn how to train her. She will go to her new home in May 2009.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p> COLE is a 2007 grade black stud colt. We purchased him at an auction in late December 2007. His new owner is also a young teenage girl who has done extensive groundwork training with him and will be starting to ride him in the summer of 2009. He is very quiet and well mannered and will be wonderful for pleasure riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>GRACE is a 2008 arab filly that was an ASPCA seizure. She's a super friendly horse and just loves people. She's now owned by the same lady who owns Phoenix, so also will be here until the end of July/11.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>LIBERTY is a 2009 thoroughbred filly that was an ASPCA seizure. She has come a long way since arriving here, and has bonded well with one of our volunteers, who has now purchased her. She will be boarded here for the winter, and then will move to her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>CHARLIE is a 2006 grade palomino gelding. He was probably sent to the auction because only one testicle had decended and the owner didn't want to pay for the surgery to bring the other one down. We outbid the meat buyers, brought him home and had the surgery done. He was gelded at the same time. He is greenbroke and was ridden lightly in the summer of 08. He's very calm but can be a real character. He is now in his new home with a wonderful family who plans to have him trained to be a trick riding horse for their daughter. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SATIN is a 2007 black quarter horse filly. She cut her leg badly as a baby and has a large scar and her hoof is permanently deformed. She was going to be shipped for slaughter but thanks to a caring lady her life was spared and she came here. Due to the cold and the snow this year (2009) she has now gone to Bear Valley Rescue where they have facilities to care for a horse with her disability. We will miss her but know that she will have the best of care in her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>LADYBUG is a 2008 registered quarter horse filly who has the bloodlines of Smart Little Lena and Peppy San Badger. She is well halter broke and is very calm and friendly. Her new owners are a young couple who will train her for riding and eventually use her for a broodmare.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>COLA is a 2010 purebred Tennessee Walker mare, but has no papers. Her owner is a 16 year old girl, who has always dreamed of training her own horse. Cola will stay here for a couple of months for her owner to really get to know her, and then will move to her new home.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>MISTY is a 1996 QH mare who was originally surrendered to us. We placed her and she has been with the same owner for a few years, but life circumstances forced her to have to give up her horses, and Misty came back to us. We placed her with the same people who have Patches, and she'll be retired from riding.<br></p>

<h2></h2><p>SELENE is a 2008 quarter horse palomino filly. She has the bloodlines of Docs Hickory, but has no papers. She is halter broke and fairly quiet, and has a stocky build. We obtained her privately, so she didn't have to go through the auction. Her new owner is a very caring lady who adores her. She will be staying here and will continue on with her groundwork training. Oct/09 - Selene has moved to a private acreage that is closer for her owner. <br></p>

<h2></h2><p>TAMI is a 2007 grade bay filly. She came from the same auction as Cole. Her new owner is a young teenage girl who has worked hard on Tami's groundwork training and will start to ride her in the summer of 2009. She is high spirited but willing, and will be a great riding horse. <br></p>
